We are excited to share that the Aldi Slow Cooked Pork Belly has won a Gold Quality Food Award in the Christmas pork category. Creative Foods worked in collaboration with Aldi to develop a tasty, tender and succulent pork belly dish for Aldi’s Christmas offering. Slow cooked seasoned pork belly with apple and cider jus, delicious served with creamy mash and Tenderstem® broccoli for the ultimate Christmas dish.

The Aldi Specially Selected Slow Cooked Gammon Shank with Treacle Glaze was a Finalist in the Christmas gammon category. Slow cooked treacle cured gammon hock with Christmas spices, ideal served with roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips for the ultimate festive feast.

The Aldi Slow Cooked Beef Brisket in Red Wine Jus has been shortlisted as a Finalist in the all year round ready meals category. Slow cooked beef brisket in a rich red wine jus, made with quality Red Tractor Certified British beef from our integrated business Pickstock in Telford. The beef is seasoned with a spice blend and the red wine jus contains herbs and spices. The beef brisket in red wine jus can be served with creamy mash and vegetables to create a restaurant quality meal at home for two.

The all year round Quality Food Award winners are being announced on the 20th November at a virtual awards ceremony. Now in its 44th year, the UK Quality Food Awards are the longest-running, most prestigious awards in the food and drink industry in the UK. The judges look at taste, texture, flavour, aroma, ingredients, provenance, appearance, packaging, price point and innovation to determine the award winners.
